Profile

The Africa Golf Confederation (AGC) was established in the year 2009, to bring together Africa Golfing Nations in promoting, developing and growing golf in Africa. The Confederation is the amalgamated body of amateur golf in Africa and its purpose is to co-ordinate the activities of its members and to ensure the maintenance of the traditions of amateur golf in jurisdiction. The new leadership of the Confederation has a plan to grow the game of golf in the continent through integration of golfing nations at a regional level through hosting of golf
competition for the junior, female and male categories annually. To this end, the executives have worked to register the Confederation in Kenya due to its central location and the ease of doing business and the level of development of the game of golf in the country. Next on the agenda for the executive committee is the establishment of a secretariat for the AGC in Nairobi.
